The Mission of Mosquito Hill Nature Center is
to provide environmental education and recreation that foster
understanding, appreciation, and sound stewardship of the
natural world for people of all ages.
The
Mosquito Hill Nature Center is open year round
with both indoor and outdoor opportunities on 430 acres adjacent
to the Wolf River. Inside are natural history displays, an art
gallery, exhibit areas, an auditorium, classrooms, and a
library. Outside is a
butterfly
house which is open July through August and an observatory
that's used during scheduled events.
Trail Maps: For hiking or walking, there are three miles
of developed
trails that include a loop to scenic vistas on one of the
highest elevation points in the area. When the snow season
arrives, one un-groomed
cross-country skiing trail and five miles of
snowshoe trails
can provide winter enjoyment.
Find many things to do on the events
calendar or the Thrivent Art Gallery
schedule. There are also various
school programs available for any grade level.
The location of the facility is
just east of
New
London, Wisconsin in
Outagamie County.
Note:
Until further notice, County Highway S (east) is closed in
Stephensville for bridge repair (where Highway S crosses the
Wolf River). Please use an alternative route listed on our
Hours & Location page. This
construction will not impact visitors traveling to the nature
center along Highway S from the west.

distance as the weeks progress. Best suited for teens and adults. If
snow conditions are not adequate, a vigorous hike will be substituted.
Cost: $5/session or $20 for the entire series; includes snowshoe rental.
